“I have come to envision massage therapy as a path to freedom: freedom from pain, freedom of movement and freedom from stress.”
Body awareness and health have always been important elements of my life. I maintain my own health through dance, yoga, nutrition and physical therapy. Consequently, I developed a desire to have an impact on other peoples’ health and well-being.
Massage therapy is an effective, holistic and non- invasive way of assisting people on their path to health and I am increasingly impressed with the outcomes I witness in my practice as a RMT. I have been practicing massage therapy since October 2008, mainly in the environment of multidisciplinary clinics.
My training has prepared me to safely address a variety of concerns including perinatal care, soft tissue injuries, postural conditions, headaches, digestive concerns, scar tissue, neurological disorders, chronic pain and stress management. I also offer intra-oral work for TMJ concerns, breast care and some visceral manipulation.
Treatment modalities I use include Deep tissue, Neuromuscular therapy, Myofascial Release, Trigger point release, Swedish massage, Stretching, Lymph drainage, Visceral manipulation and Breath training.
I have been a certified yoga instructor for eight years and I work to incorporate the benefits of yoga when suitable.
Education is important to me; I aim to keep current in my profession and to pass on any knowledge I can offer to my clients. I also enjoy educating therapists to be while assisting in the Introductory Massage Workshop.
I am dedicated to providing genuine holistic care for each individual in a calm and nurturing environment and I look forward to assisting you in the enhancement of your health and well-being.
